Many people have been asking… “What will TheBridge sound like?”

Connecting, Strengthening.

Through the mediums of traditional broadcast radio as well as new media such as the internet and social networking websites, we will work to bring the body of Christ on Delmarva together to praise our Lord with one mighty voice and to encourage one another in our daily walk.

WWJD became quite the Christian Catchphrase for a while but as any fad, it faded to become little more than a crude punch line in many a comedian’s stand-up act. But the question still remains, “What would Jesus do….” If He were driving in your car with you right now? If He were in that group of people you sit with at lunch? If He were with you at the bar that night? If He were to comment on that thought you just had? I think it’s safe to say that if Jesus were with you right now, you may not be doing exactly what you’re doing, or at least the way you’re doing it.

As when you first fall in love, when you can hardly get through a day without thinking of the object of your affections, 88.7 TheBridge will be in love with Jesus all day long. We may tell a joke, speak our opinions about a hot local topic or play a song with a fantastic beat, but it will all go through the filter of WWJD; The Bible. Will you join us in our journey toward loving the Lord our God with all of our strength, heart and mind and then loving our neighbors as ourselves?

“That’s spiritual gobbledy-gook!” You shout at the computer screen. What’s TheBridge going to SOUND like?!?!?

The answer is to say that it is our goal to present upbeat music with a significant and obvious focus on glorifying God, Jesus and The Holy Spirit, LOCAL News, Information, Sports and Events, a healthy sprinkling of laughter and a dose of local discussion.

When we first go on the air this year we plan to start out conservatively in all of those areas while testing the waters and stretching the envelope until we become firm in our steps. As any new ministry, we are utilizing the help of many people to achieve these goals. Current and former radio professional as well as business leaders, church leaders from a variety of churches and common everyday folk make up our steering committee. With a significant focus on local Delmarva life as well as keeping an eye on the changing demographics of our area, we hope to continually develop a radio station that is so well-done it attracts Christians and non-Christians!

It’s a common lie from Satan that your walk is not good enough to witness Christ to friends, neighbors, co-workers and especially not family, “because they know too much!” Well, 88.7 TheBridge is coming to walk along side you daily and to encourage you in your relationship with Christ and to embolden you in your love for Him and for the lost.

We believe that churches will see a change in their congregations. Offering plates will become more consistent. New visitor numbers at every church on Delmarva will jump and continue to grow. Prejudices and interdenominational battles will decrease, perhaps disappear. Divorce rates and out of wedlock pregnancies will drop while church and Christian Seminar attendance will spike. Fathers will play more “catch” than golf. Mothers will argue less with teenage daughters. Sound like some sort of utopian pipe-dream? Nah, it’s all in The Book. Believe it.

That’s the power of faith in our Savior. That’s the “Walk” we’ll be encouraging. That’s how we plan to invest our 25,000 watts in His bride. Will you invest in us?
